A list of 100 most powerful Bangladeshis in Britain has been released who helped to shape Britain for the better with their ideas, example, talent and success.

The ‘British Bangladeshi Power 100’ list for 2013 was published in UK on Tuesday, says a booklet published on the profiler's website www.bbpower100.com.

“We continue to pay tribute to those who are helping shape Britain for the better with their ideas, example, talent and success and have endeavoured to unearth some hidden jewels as well as celebrating the more well known personalities,” the booklet adds quoting its founders and editor Abdal Ullah and Ayesha Qureshi MBE.

The list has twenty categories – entrepreneur, brand, politics, policy/civil service, legal, restaurateur, professional, networks & associations, academic/think tanker, medical, the city/finance, community activist, media, culture, community personality, sport, religious figure, 30 and under, community organisation and emerging influence.

This year’s list consists of 100 people and organisations across the 20 categories. The list is independently judged and ranked by a panel lead by Iqbal Wahhab OBE, a visiting professor at London Metropolitan University Business School, fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and board member of the Mayor's fund for London, and Syed Nahas Pasha, editor in chief of a Bangla newspaper Weekly Jonomot.
